Our Story
Bacchus Family Wines are made by the Bacchus family in the Margaret River region of south Western Australia. We are a boutique wine company that is family owned and operated. Jake Bacchus is the man behind our wines. He is a passionate winemaker whose goal has always been 'to make a wine that we will love to drink'. Jake has been in the wine industry since 2002. After completing his studies in New Zealand his profession has taken him all over our wonderful globe. Working in some of the best wineries in Italy, the United States, France Australia and New Zealand he has been exposed to the diversification of winemaking techniques, traditional wines and grape varieties from these regions.
We began Bacchus Family Wine in 2014 and are now entering our 10th vintage. Being given the opportunity to make a wine that we find such pleasure in is something we are very grateful for, to be able to share that with you is even more satisfying.
Our wines reflect what the Margaret River region can do the best.

Chardonnay
We basket press our Chardonnay before fermenting it in French oak
-
Malbec
Malbec is the major component of our red blend. It brings the darkest inky colour, great tanin and savoury characters. this is the backbone of our wine.

In Glass
Our Chardonnay has a nose of Stonefruit and lime with integrated french oak joined by creamy and mealy notes from the 10 months on lees in barrel.
